Date For the Cure Gala

The 1st Annual Date For The Cure Gala will be a night to truly remember. This elegant gala will be held at the Sheraton Universal on Saturday February 16, 2013. To help raise much needed money and awareness for Breast Cancer Research and Treatment, we have created an evening of joy and celebration with one heck of a twist! Just two days after Valentine’s Day our attendees have the opportunity to bid on their favorite celebrity date to take to the gala. With the generous involvement of our celebrity supporters you will have a chance for the date of a lifetime. Bid generously to take your date onto the nights red carpet and into an evening of great food, entertainment, dancing and fun. All this is for a cause near to all our hearts.

Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

The Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to saving lives and ending breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. To date, The Affiliate has raised over $9.2 million for community-based grants to local LA County health organizations. Through these grants, Komen LA County provides crucial funding for breast cancer diagnostic services, educational programs, patient navigation, and psychosocial support. 

Komen LA County is a local charity serving the communities of Los Angeles County. Seventy-five percent of the Affiliate’s net income funds grants to local hospitals and community health organizations serving the uninsured and underinsured women in Los Angeles County. The remaining 25 percent supports Susan G. Komen’s national grants program which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research and education initiatives around the world.

Thanks to its many dedicated donors, corporate partners and volunteers, Komen LA County is playing a vital role in fighting breast cancer in the community.
